This case study centers around the project of designing and developing a new website for Sunthay, a company that offers an innovative solution for the repo market. Sunthay initially had a simple website built on Webflow, but they required a more comprehensive site and hired me to create one. After a few rounds of design revisions,
Sunthay chose the final design that featured a CMS-powered press and news section, a documents and training area, and numerous other useful functionalities.

During the design phase of Sunthay's new website, we were asked to incorporate an ocean theme. However, we wanted to avoid creating a design that was too cliche or overly literal. To achieve this, I opted for a simple video background that featured the gentle ebb and flow of ocean waves.
I also included subtle design elements such as a color palette inspired by oceanic blues and greens, and wave-like shapes that gave a nod to the theme without being too obvious. The end result was a design that elegantly incorporated the ocean theme, while still maintaining a modern and professional look.
To enhance the user experience of Sunthay's new website, we incorporated subtle micro-interactions throughout the site. For example, when hovering over the navigation, we added a fading animation that gave users visual feedback and made the interface feel more responsive.
These micro-interactions not only made the site more engaging and user-friendly but also helped to establish a cohesive design language across the site. By paying attention to these small details, we were able to create a more polished and enjoyable user experience for Sunthay's visitors.

Overall, the new website for Sunthay was a great success, and the client was very happy with the end result. While they are not currently using all the features that we built for them, such as the documents and training area, they are happy to have them in place for when they need them in the future.
The addition of subtle micro-interactions throughout the site helped to enhance the user experience, making the site more engaging and user-friendly.
By incorporating the ocean theme in a subtle way, we were able to create a modern and professional design that still reflected Sunthay's commitment to sustainability and eco-friendliness. Overall, I am proud of the final product and are pleased that it has met the client's current and future needs and expectations.
